Thinking about joining on online gym!

TGIF & ready 2 party!

Last nights show at On Cue Billiards was a great hoot!  the crowd was appreciative and we played a huge amount of Reggae!  we took and played  ppl’s requests which was a great feeling and the atmosphere was top-notch.  tankhouse was on tap though it was empty.  can’t wait to play there again soon!

on a personal note, we forgot one of our essential gear bags at home.  we didn’t realize this until we got to the venue.  luckily enough TooNice had spare patch cords so we could still play (though our movement was somewhat restricted) but the bigger issue was we didn’t have our cheat notes for some of the lesser known material.  ack!  what a stresser that was but alas we endured because we had to.  a few missed notes but a good time all around and forgetting the bag could have been a blessin in disguise.  could this be the end of cheat notes as we know it?  only time will tell.  there’s another show tonight!  time to rest up and join that online gym!

5 Good Reasons 2 Keep Drinking?

Its been awhile since we rated any beers so here goes a five pack of mini reviews of stuff we’d tried out of late:

5 good reasons?

KLB Raspberry Wheat: good and light.  tasted like it was nothing going down the tube which could be dangerous.  looking fwd to having a few more of these when the weather warms up. could be in the rotation once summer comes.  one thing we learnt is that KLB is made by the once fine folks at Amsterdam brewery.  could this be a return to form? we used to really dig their nut brown but then it tanked.  it mightabeen something in the water that year though. stay tuned.

Mill Street Tankhouse:  hearty and rough.  great oaky smokey taste.  wow, this one is a keeper.  though we never have enjoyed much of anything from Mill Street, this one is a top notch!  was definitely the most pleasant surprise of this lot of revews.

Great Lakes Red Leaf Lager: though we aren’t much of a lager drinker, this one was well worth another look and taste.  very smooth and non-offensive, even with the after taste!  Great Lakes Brewery is fast becoming one of fave local breweries.  they are already solidly in our top 3!

Beau’s Lug Tread
:  new bottle this year.  gone is the ceramic which made a great gift item last holiday season.  so now its in a glass bottle and is anything different?  nope.  its still all good and super tasty!  ever since we had a nasty first bottle (we suspect it wasn’t sealed properly) back in the fall of 2008, we haven’t met a Beau’s we haven’t enjoyed to the fullest.  why do you think it was gift worthy last holiday season?  yup, cuz its that good! also newsworthy from Beaus is a special release called “community brew” of which 30% of sales goes to local charities.  can’t wait to check that out soon!

Nickel Brook Ale:  we really, really, really enjoyed the Green Apple beer that Nickel brook puts out.  THAT is a great summer beer.  this ale however was a waste of time.  lofty expectations not met. too bad. really a beer that was remarkably unremarkable.

wow, all this beer reviewing is making us thirsty.  gtg!
